One of the ways we contribute is through our partnership with Sheldrick Wildlife Trust — a globally respected conservation organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants and other wildlife affected by poaching, habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict.
Through this partnership, we support the care, rehabilitation and protection of young animals who have lost their families, helping give them a second chance to eventually return to the wild where they belong.
It is our way of ensuring that every journey contributes to the survival of the wildlife that inspires it.
Empowering local communities
Conservation can only succeed when the communities who live alongside wildlife are part of the story. Across East Africa, many indigenous communities have coexisted with wildlife for generations, developing traditions, knowledge systems and cultural practices deeply rooted in nature.
We encourage respectful and meaningful interactions with these communities, where travellers can learn about their way of life, traditions and their relationship with the land. These experiences are designed to be authentic exchanges rather than staged performances, fostering genuine understanding and cultural respect.
We also support local artisans by showcasing tribal handicrafts and handmade products created within these communities. Every purchase helps provide sustainable income for families while preserving craftsmanship and cultural heritage that has been passed down through generations.

We contribute to the education of our guides’ children, helping create better opportunities for their families and communities. We also follow an ethical duty schedule that ensures guides have proper rest between journeys, allowing them time with their families and maintaining a healthy balance between work and life in the bush.
In addition, we regularly organize training and knowledge-sharing programs where guides can deepen their understanding of wildlife behavior, conservation practices and evolving ecosystems. These sessions also create space for open dialogue — allowing guides to share the challenges they face on the ground and ensuring their voices shape the way we operate.

Adopt an animal through your journey!
We recently introduced a special initiative that allows travellers to form an even deeper connection with wildlife conservation.
With every journey you take with Wild Safari Quest, you will help sponsor or symbolically adopt an orphaned wildlife animal being cared for by conservation organizations.
As part of this initiative, you will receive an official adoption certificate along with updates about the animal you helped support — its progress, growth and journey back towards the wild whenever possible.
It is a small but meaningful reminder that your journey has helped change a life in the wild.
