The Team

People behind Wild Safari Quest

Every journey crafted by Wild Safari Quest begins with a team of people who share the same deep passion for travel and wildlife. We are a group of individuals with different personalities, experiences and skills — planners, explorers, storytellers and problem solvers. Yet what truly connects us is a shared vision: to create journeys that allow people to experience the wild in a meaningful way. Behind the scenes, our team works with dedication and care to design experiences that feel personal, seamless and unforgettable!

Because for us, a safari is not just about reaching a destination — it is about creating moments in nature that stay with you for a lifetime.

Rijo

Rijo

Marketing Consultant

Based in our Canada office, Rijo Thomas brings a storyteller’s perspective to the world of wildlife and travel. His fascination with nature began in the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom, where watching the vibrant white-breasted kingfisher first sparked his love for birds and the natural world. Over time, that curiosity grew into a deeper appreciation for wild landscapes — from the expansive living skies of Saskatchewan to the dramatic ecosystems of Africa. Deeply drawn to the intelligence and social bonds of the African elephant, Rijo often connects with the wild through sound. One unforgettable safari memory for him was capturing the raw, layered soundscape of the savannah — distant calls, rustling grass and life unfolding after sunset.

Prithvi

Prithvi

Social Media Manager

Working from our Delhi office, Prithvi shapes the narratives that reflect the spirit of the wild and the journeys we curate. Her relationship with wilderness began with an unexpected moment in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, when a sudden tiger sighting turned an ordinary forest drive into a memory that lingered long after the jungle fell silent. It was a fleeting encounter, but one that quietly sparked a deeper curiosity about the natural world. That curiosity later led her to the sweeping plains of the Maasai Mara with Wild Safari Quest, where the rhythm of the savannah and its wildlife offered a deeper perspective on the wild. Since then, Prithvi has spent time exploring and understanding safari landscapes across Africa.

Azmat

Azmat

Safari Specialist

Based in our Delhi office, Azmat is often the first point of connection for travellers, working closely with clients to understand their interests and craft journeys that best match their expectations in the wild. Her connection with nature began early with a childhood sighting of a leopard in the forests of Kalagarh — a moment that quietly shaped the path she would follow. Since then, the wild has continued to reveal itself to her in unforgettable ways, from standing silently by a river as a herd of deer approached to drink to witnessing the extraordinary tenderness of a mother leopard carrying her newborn cub. She deeply admires the lioness — fierce, focused and the true backbone of the pride — embodying the strength, grace and devotion she finds most inspiring in the natural world.

Washington

Washington

Operations Executive

Working from our Nairobi office, Washington plays an essential role in keeping every safari running smoothly on the ground. As an Operations Executive, he handles the practical side of each journey — coordinating bookings, confirming accommodations, aligning guides and vehicles and ensuring every logistical detail is in place before our guests arrive in the wild. His strong local network and hands-on approach allow him to respond quickly and keep every itinerary flowing effortlessly. Though much of his work happens behind the scenes, Washington’s connection with the wilderness remains strong. During a visit to Amboseli National Park, he experienced an unforgettable sight as a herd of elephants slowly crossed the plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro at sunset — a moment that perfectly captured the quiet grandeur of the African wilderness.

Dias Emanuel

Dias Emanuel

Operations Manager

Based in our Nairobi office, Dious is the quiet force ensuring every safari runs seamlessly behind the scenes. He manages the many moving parts of each journey — from accommodation confirmations and guide assignments to booking executions and on-ground coordination with lodges and partners across the region. With years of experience handling safari logistics, Dious understands how every detail contributes to a smooth and memorable journey for our guests. Despite working primarily from the operations desk, the wild is never far away. One memorable evening near Nairobi National Park, he witnessed a lion walking across the open plains with the city skyline in the background — a rare moment where wilderness and urban life exist side by side.

Martin Kasoe

Martin Kasoe

Safari Naturalist

Martin Kasoe’s journey as a guide began with a moment that shaped his connection with the wild forever — witnessing the great wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara. Watching thousands of animals move across the plains made him feel deeply connected to nature and inspired a lifelong passion for guiding. Over the years, Martin has developed a keen eye for wildlife behaviour, with a special admiration for the speed and strategy of the cheetah. One safari he will never forget was a journey toward Amboseli National Park, where he encountered the park’s famous big-tusked elephants moving gracefully across the plains. For Martin, guiding is more than a profession — it is a calling to share the rhythms, drama, and beauty of the wilderness with every guest he hosts.

Nelson

Nelson

Safari Naturalist

Raised in a small Maasai village on the edge of the Maasai Mara, Nelson’s connection with the wild began long before he ever sat behind the wheel of a safari vehicle. As a young boy herding his family’s livestock, he learned to read the bush — its sounds, movements and quiet signals — until wildlife felt as familiar as family. Today, with top-tier guiding credentials and years of experience in the Mara, Nelson brings the landscape to life through his instinct for animal behaviour, deep knowledge of birds and passion for photography. One unforgettable morning drive, following a pack of hyenas running at full speed, led to a dramatic scene of survival on the savanna — a powerful reminder of nature’s raw and remarkable moments.

Jonathan

Jonathan

Safari Naturalist

Jonathan grew up in a Maasai community where the wilderness has always been a natural part of everyday life. From a young age, he spent long hours walking the plains, learning to recognise animal tracks, observe subtle movements in the bush and understand how wildlife responds to the rhythm of the seasons. These early experiences built a deep and instinctive connection with the land and its wildlife. With years of guiding experience in the Maasai Mara, Jonathan is known for his sharp eye and remarkable understanding of wildlife behaviour. On one unforgettable morning drive, he followed distant alarm calls that led to a dramatic scene where a pride of lions brought down a wildebeest — a powerful glimpse into the raw, untamed drama of the Mara.
